England Rugby Union Squad dine at Banyan ahead of game against Uruguay

Banyan bar & kitchen had the pleasure of hosting the entire England Rugby Union squad last night, with the team staying in Manchester in the run-up to their game against Uruguay at the Etihad this Saturday.

A group of 65, comprising of players, management and back room staff dined in The Kitchen area at Banyan, which opened to the public in The Corn Exchange on October 2nd.

Martin Wolstencroft, Managing Director of Arc Inspirations (Banyan Bar & Kitchen owners), said; “We’ve had a long standing relationship with the England Rugby Union squad, hosting them a number of times in our venues in Leeds and it’s great to be able to do the same in Manchester.

“I’ve known Stuart Lancaster for a long time, I played rugby with him back in the day at Leeds Polytechnic. We wish England the best of luck for their game against Uruguay this Saturday and look forward to welcoming them back to Banyan in the future.”

Occupying the corner unit of The Corn Exchange, Banyan has an impressive outdoor South facing terrace, offering 125 covers, giving customers the chance to enjoy the sunshine and views across Exchange Square, while two below ground private dining and party rooms, aptly named The Root and The Well, enable guests to enjoy their special event in style.
