Frankie Rose announces UK Tour plus date supporting White Lies at Manchester Academy

Ahead of the release of her latest album Herein Wild, Frankie Rose is pleased to announce an extensive run of UK dates this December.

Along with a full tour supporting White Lies, which includes Manchester Academy on 6th December, Frankie will also be performing her own headline shows, including London's The Lexington on the 13th December.

This year’s full length Herein Wild is her first with Fat Possum and is a continuation of the widescreen, blissful pop trajectory set out by 2012's Interstellar, delving deeper into the glorious, lofty blur, but this time with more intimacy and gentle melancholy. Although the energetic and up beat songs remain, Frankie isn’t scared to strip back, go organic and au natural.

Recorded in a private studio in Brooklyn over the summer, many of the sounds are similar as before; warm synths, plucked bass, crunchy guitar, but this time there’s more dynamic variety and a wider pool of instrumentation.

The key difference is the presence of a string quartet across much of Herein Wild. It acts as majestic glue, holding together both the album’s biggest and quietest moments.

Recorded live in a church in midtown Manhattan, you can hear the echos and reverberations against the stained glass windows and wooden pews.
