1 Xtra's Charlie Sloth to kick off national tour

This summer, K-Swiss takes the Californian vibes on the road stopping in London, Manchester Trafford Centre, Beach Break Live Festival in Newquay and finishing up the tour in Birmingham. The first stop in London, will see Charlie Sloth make a live appearance and DJ set from 12noon alongside DJ Semtex and Rattus Rattus. At each stop, consumers will be given the chance to win a trip to California, so that they can create their own California Love road trip.

In addition to the competition, live performances will include a beatboxer, roller girls and an array of street performers, a pair of K-Swiss trainers will be given away every hour at each stop.

Sports lifestyle brand K-Swiss, founded almost half a century ago in Van Nuys, California, by Swiss brothers Art and Ernest Brunner, turned a classic white leather tennis shoe in 1966, into an icon in the trainer world.

California is the birth place of hip hop culture with rappers such as Dr. Dre, Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg as icons of the West Coast music scene. ‘K-Swiss California Love’, is a glossy, documentary style mini-series following Charlie Sloth to LA to explore the origins of hip hop, it’s rise, it’s fall and its resurgence in the UK.
