Turrentine Jones to perform at Live Room on April 22nd

Turrentine Jones at Live Room April 22nd 2016

Formed in Manchester and raised on STAX records, Turrentine Jones have been described as “one of Manchester’s finest exports in recent times”, according to Hattie Pearson of Radio X.

The indie-rock trio blend blues, rock and pop into sinister but beguiling melodies with a spoonful or two of suggestion in the lyrics, “My songwriting is about pushing what can be sung … what you can actually get away with singing “, remarks Julian Neville, frontman and guitarist of the band, “if the lyrics resonate with other people, become somewhat relatable then I grow to love them even more”.

Turrentine Jones are gathering a host of admirers both in and outside of the industry including Horace Panter of The Specials and Andrew Oldham, former manager of the Rolling Stones.
