Evelyn's Arrives in The Northern Quarter

Evelyn's Arrives in The Northern Quarter

This week the Northern Quarter welcomes a new addition to its vibrant food and drink scene, as Evelyn's Cafe Bar opens its doors on Tib Street.

The neighbourhood cafe bar is aiming to secure a spot in the hearts of locals, with its hearty breakfast menu, original take on foodie favourites, organic wines and a wide variety of dishes taking inspiration from around the globe.

The menu offers Manchester's diners fresh dishes, such as White Fish Ceviche with yuzu, lemongrass, shallots and avocado and the Lamb with chilli, mint, quinoa, pomegranate salsa verde.

Indulgence is never too far away though, and winter comfort can be found in the decadent Home Fries, the ECB Beef Burger with sriracha mayo, kimchi and fries and the Chocolate Tart with cherries.

Organic wines make up a third of Evelyn's list, and the cocktail menu includes tempting treats like the White Old Fashioned, Wild Blossom Martini and Tropical Caiparinha.

I believe our clientele will see this and appreciate the love that's gone into Evelyn's.

Evelyn's Sax Arshad, said: "The team have worked hard on the concept and feel. Our doors are now open giving the city a fresh, new place to catch up over a coffee or cocktail and enjoy great food. We're looking forward to getting to know our regulars and are sure they'll enjoy our distinctive style and welcoming ambience as much as we do.

"'The Northern Quarter was a key part of my childhood. My dad owned a clothing business on Newton Street, so the neighbourhood has always evoked that feeling of nostalgia for me. I believe our clientele will see this and appreciate the love that's gone into Evelyn's."

Head chef, Byron Moses, said: "We've taken global ingredients and played with the classics like Steak and Chips to asian favourites like Ramen Noodles with mussels and king prawns to toasted roll, Korean chicken, fried egg and chilli for breakfast."

To keep the city's early risers going in the morning, Evelyn's is only charging £1 for takeaway coffees till the end of the year Monday to Friday.

Located at G18 Smithfield Buildings, Tib Street, Evelyn's Cafe Bar is open Monday - Sunday 9am - 11pm.
