Today marks the start of the Quays Culture Summer Festival taking place over four days. This year's Festival will involve world class talent, dancers, story-tellers, circus acts, and culminates in a unique High Wire performance from world famous Chris Bullzini.
This year promises to be the best ever with a diverse range of world class artists putting on awe-inspiring performances each day of the festival. It all kicks off with the launch of Arboria Luminarium, a dreamscape like no other. Arboria is an epic structure that transports people to a sensory world of light and colour. Once inside, you're free to explore the dazzling maze of winding paths and soaring dome
There will be free dance workshops inside the colourful centre of the Luminarium on Thursday and Friday by Igor + Moreno, a contemporary dance company based in London and Sardinia open to all abilities and ages 10+. Free languages workshop for Under 5s will also be taking place inside the amazing Luminarium on Friday 31st May.
The festival will end on Sunday with a mesmerising high wire performance by world famous performer Chris Bulzini, with the artist attempting a spectacular 200 metre high-wire walk from the Alchemist across the docks to Media City with just a pole to help him balance on Sunday at 5.30pm.
