Barbour International’s Race fuelled by Style comes to Manchester

British Heritage brand Barbour International, famous for their original motorcycle clothing iconically worn by Steve McQueen in the 1964 Six Days Trial, looks set to launch a brand new Six Days Trial at Kendals on Deansgate between 17th - 22nd October.

Whilst there are no motorbikes or dirt tracks to be seen, this trial still requires speed, style and cunning as customers are invited to pick their favourite Barbour International outfit, style it up to perfection, hop into one of the Barbour International Six Days Trial photo booths, and pose for the camera.

These photos will then be put up online, and participants will have 24 hours to get as many votes as they can to be in with a chance of winning limited edition Barbour International prizes.

When they have finished posing, participants will receive a goody bag and a print out of their photo, as well as an online URL to share with anyone and everyone to encourage their votes. Even those who can’t make it to a store have the opportunity to win prizes, simply by voting for their favourite look.

The Six Days Trial will run between 17th - 22nd October at the Barbour International concession in the House of Fraser store (Kendals) on Deansgate in Manchester. Photobooths will also be in the Barbour International concessions in House of Fraser stores in Oxford Street, Glasgow and Meadowhall for the full duration of the six days.

“The 1964 International Six Days Trial race was a pivotal point for the Barbour International brand – style icon Steve McQueen wore Barbour International for the entire race, redefining biker style forever.

Rebecca Cairney, Global Digital Manager for Barbour commented,

“The 1964 International Six Days Trial race was a pivotal point for the Barbour International brand – style icon Steve McQueen wore Barbour International for the entire race, redefining biker style forever. To celebrate how the biker look still inspires our modern collections, we’re inviting customers to put together their own stylish ensemble, picking from our sleek leather biker jackets, to our rugged International waxes and our sixties mod inspired knitwear pieces in a race to be voted most stylish. We can’t wait to see who wins this rendition of the race.’
