The Northern Quarter Picture Co ~ Official Launch Party ~ Friday 25th January 5.30-8pm

The Northern Quarter Picture Co

14A Newton Street, Northern Quarter, Manchester

The Northern Quarter Picture Co is a new poster shop, bespoke framers and creative art space, based on Newton Street in the Northern Quarter Manchester.  It's the business idea of Colin White (Vinyl Revival) and Dean Ramsbottom (Made in Manchester Tattoo Studio).

The Northern Quarter Picture Co will specialise in selling rare concert posters, art prints and original promotional posters. Some of these posters are from Colin's personal collection, as well as items from original Factory Records' designer, Trevor Johnson (who has also designed the shop itself). The business will also offer a bespoke framing service.

The official opening for the shop is this Friday 25th January ~ 5.30pm-8pm. There will be a live acoustic set from Death to the Strange and also Mark Kennedy's new project, The Sausage Band. Complimentary drinks will be served and entrance is free.

The Northern Quarter Picture Co incorporates a gallery, which will display a fantastic collection of original concert/promotional posters. Many of these are of Manchester bands and venues from the last 30 years including The Smiths, Joy Division, Hacienda, Elbow, New Order, Oasis, Doves and Happy Mondays. Colin and Dean would also like to encourage local artists to use the space to exhibit their work in the future ~ they currently have around 60 framed art pieces on the walls of the shop.
