This Sunday 28th June, Skwigly.com brings This Is Not A Cartoon, a showcase of world-class animation, to HOME in Manchester for a programme of animated shorts and a Q&A with Oscar-winning director Daniel Greaves.  

 

The programme of shorts films shown will include the heart pounding action of Danny Madden’s Confusion Through The Sand, a trip through time with the Oscar nominated A Single Life by Job, Joris and Marieke. Also shown will be the reflective poignancy presented in Alan Holly’s Coda, the eerie tragedy of Zepo, and the tender connection of life, love and death told through string in Ainslie Henderson’s Moving On. 

 

Also featuring is the brand new film from acclaimed director Don Hertzfeldt, World of Tomorrow, and the tender connection of life, love and loss through string in Ainslie Henderson’s Moving On

 

 

Daniel Greaves, the Oscar winning director of Manipulation, brings his latest animation Mr Plastimime (pictured main), a dark and nostalgic love story, to the This Is Not A Cartoon programme.  Daniel, who will take to the stage at HOME for a Q&A, has received critical acclaim for many of his animations with more than 20 international awards including Cartoon D’Or.
