The Whip and Dutch Uncles Live

Manchester Electro-indy trio the Whip and fivesome Dutch Uncles are set to perform an intimate, acoustic performance of songs from their current albums ‘X Marks Destination’ and ‘Wired Together’ and ‘Cadenza’, respectively, at Manchester’s famous Band On The Wall on Friday August 19th 2011.

Fans will also have the chance to take part in a no holds barred Q&A session with the band!

Lead singer of the Whip, Bruce Carter tells us, "We've played an acoustic show only once before and that was al fresco way up high at the top of an Austrian mountain, in fancy dress around lunchtime to a bunch of Snowbombers who hadn't been to bed. Someone referred to it as Balearic Krishna and we had a hoot".

We see it as a challenge to see how much we can get people dancing without using a synth or major amounts of electrically powered effects. Wooden instruments will be rife, songs from our forthcoming album will be rife and Miller will be rife!” 

The Whip are set to release their 2nd album ‘Wired Together’ on September 19th through Southern Fried Records and tour their full electronic show at London Hoxton Bar and Grill September 7th, Glasgow King Tuts on September 9th and Manchester’s Ruby Lounge on September 10th.
