Pride’s Next Top Model

Pride’s Next Top Model comp is aiming to find two models to appear in the festivals marketing campaign for Pride 2011.


Entries will be narrowed down to ten finalists and a panel of judges will select the winning pair. The judges are: Jackie Crozier (festival director of Manchester Pride), Andrew Stokes, (chairman of Pride), Rachel Joseph (celebrity photographer) and Anthony Crank (actor, broadcaster, DJ).

 

Jackie Crozier, festival director of Manchester Pride, said: “This is the first time we’ve done a competition like this and we’re extremely excited about it. It’s a great opportunity for aspiring models to gain recognition and add to their portfolios. I would encourage anyone who is passionate about Pride and is interested in pursuing a career in modeling to apply.”

Beverley Knight to Headline Pride 2010

Beverley Knight has been confirmed as a headline act for this year’s Manchester Pride festival, along with Belinda Carlisle and Heaven 17 who will be celebrating their 30th anniversary. Other acts confirmed for the festival include local Mancunian’s- MAY68, The sticks and Sam Gray. Of course, it wouldn’t be Pride without Four Poofs & a Piano who will also be performing.

 

Jackie Crozier, festival director of Manchester Pride, said: “We’re extremely excited to be welcoming Beverley back for the second time- she’s a fantastic performer who really gets the crowd going. It’s also great to be adding some local acts to the line-up.”

Manchester Pride is Manchester's annual lesbian, gay,
bisexual and transgender (LGBT) festival which runs from
Friday 20th August unitl Monday 30th August 2010.

Early Bird tickets were available until 30 June. From 1 July tickets will cost £17.50 plus booking fee. Tickets can be purchased at www.manchesterpride.com or at various venues around the city.
