Robert Owen Brown’s philosophy of proper British/Lancashire cooking, with the highest quality sourced produce, has earned him accolades from various food critics and writers, including the Observer's Jay Rayner.

 

Roberts recent nomination for Manchester’s Chef of the Year at the Manchester Food and Drink Awards follows a year of him turning out the city’s best food for years at the Mark Addy restaurant. His original sold out ‘performance’ at Electrik earlier in the year was so outstanding that we have asked him to return again. Fitting too, since Electrik has also been nominated in the Best Bar category for the Manchester Food & Drink Awards.

This time, in accordance with Robert’s passionate belief in locally sourced seasonal food, the focus will be on September’s gaming season. This means that food straight from the land to the plate will be the theme for September’s Guestrant. So game caught by Robert Owen Brown and his assorted comrades will be served on our plates in Chorlton.

 

Guestrant is about: trying the new, exciting and different; changing the context; and pushing chefs to deliver, in a convivial and buzzy atmosphere It’s a social event so expect fun and good conversation.
