Sixty-three degrees is a love story

Alex Moreau came to Manchester for love and his decision to open a restaurant comes from his love of fine yet simple food.
The restaurant is named (sixty-three degrees is the ideal temperature at which to cook meat discovered by Père Moreau) in honour and love of Alex’s father.
The same father who, out of love for his son, brought his family to Manchester to help his Alex launch his restaurant. And this love and family feel is evident in every aspect of the restaurant especially the menu; simple and wholeseome yet uniquely different and sublimely tasting food served to diners who are made to feel more like guests than paying customers.
If last weeks press launch is anything to go by the restaurant can only go from strength to strength and it will not be long before it is a well-known part of the Manchester eaterie scene.

On the day that Manchester welcomes this year’s Christmas markets and the world at large greets this year’s Beaujolais Nouveau, Alex invited selected members of the Manchester media to sample his wares. The markets “will be bigger and better than ever;” the Beaujolais “is one of the best crops of recent years;” and the wares were exceptional so if you believe in portents and omens then they are very good. If, however, you believe in fine food, great ambience and excellent service then Sixty-three degrees is destined for greatness.
