Kitchen at The Circle
Kitchen at The Circle
A little secret of Manchester

Just over six months have passed since the launch of Kitchen at The Circle and already it has had rave reviews. Set back in the Victorian Barton Arcade, the restaurant still keeps an essence of this style, yet the décor brings contemporary elements to the establishment. The head chef is Neil Lorenzo. His menu is a mixture of traditional English dishes yet on par with the interior, he adds a modern twist.
When you enter Kitchen all the staff are warm and friendly and although it is busy, they still take the time to cater to your needs. There was an amazing trio entertaining the diners with renditions of various jazz, folk and blues numbers when I dined.
For starters I had the delicious Chicken Liver Parfait with pear chutney, which was not too sweet…it was to die for. To follow I had the fabulous “fish of the day” which was Scallops. It was a scrumptious dish. The scallops were placed delicately around the dish in a raspberry sauce; the centre of the plate featured a creamy mash and a rich black pudding placed on top. It was by far on my list of 5* meals. Desert was an orgasmic chocolate torte smothered in vanilla sauce yet didn’t have the bloated aftermath feel as most desserts do.
Kitchen at the Circle is one to watch out for, I would most certainly recommend it to any of my friends, if you can get a table. I phoned up earlier in the week to book again and it was fully booked out.
