“We had a very close friend who's nickname was Coupe De Ville, mad i know dont ask me why it just was. He passed away after a motorbike accident abroad. So we named the band in memory of him. You will see a black and white face that is our logo on our photo page. We used his picture to keep his memory alive !”

“We are in our studio at the moment writing the rest of our album . Supporting Audio Bullys at Moho live March 11th , then we are concentrating on getting a video done with the second unit director from Denzel Washingtons new film The Book of Eli, so we can release a single for early summer just in time for the festivals and touring the UK .

We have a few more surprises which cant be discussed yet but all will be revealed so keep an eye out people Coupe De Ville are here !”

As with all things unique it is hard to categorise or put Coupe De Ville in a box. Together the lads have formulated a sound which exists in a space between Hip Hop & Rock, layered with elements dub & electronica. This is a band who don’t stick to the rules or by any means play it safe. Once you’ve seen them, you can make your own conclusions.

Theirs is an intuitive noise, driven by 6 very individual personalities, unstoppable momentum, friendship and pure talent. The music bursts from the speakers with vivid imagery and social consciousness. Their unique identity is imprinted onto every sound they make.

They are a refreshing antidote to the repetitive waves of skinny jeans guitar bands currently swamping the UK charts. A group of straight up no nonsense northern lads who definitely walk it like they talk it.
